New 52 Shazam is a Metal tier character in Injustice: Gods Among Us Mobile, built around a passive called S.H.A.Z.A.M. that turns a losing fight into a comeback. Once his health drops under a quarter, he automatically escapes the fight for thirty seconds and returns wrapped in the Powers of the Gods, six buffs that make him nearly impossible to finish off. He also holds the record for the highest base damage and the highest combined base stats of any character currently in the game.
Abilities and Stats
During his Powers of the Gods window, Shazam is immune to stun and lifedrain, hits harder thanks to a straight damage boost, generates power faster, and greets any tagged in opponent with a Lightning Defense strike that can interrupt their special attack. He also becomes impossible to knock out during that stretch, since any hit that would finish him instead leaves him at a single hit point. His first special, Bolt of Zeus, hurls a lightning bolt at the opponent, his second special, Lightning Vortex, pummels them with a flurry of electrified blows, and his super move, The Power of SHAZAM, sends them into the clouds for a beating before slamming them back to earth. Once evolved, his Dark Power specials also steal a share of the enemy team's power, and any New 52 or Justice League teammate on his side gains a basic damage boost plus damage reduction while he's around.
